Concert in the Garden On the Road Again

Wednesday evenings, starting July 8th through to August 26th, the garden of 205 Prince Street, comes alive with the sound of music performed by local musicians on the outdoor stage. The style of music varies weekly, but is connected to the roots of the Maritimes. Bring along a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the concerts, which run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission by donation. During the intermission, ice cream made daily on the premises with rich cream and milk produced by Prince Edward Island dairy farms is offered with Island fruit toppings.

On the Road Again
This group of retirees performs numerous times in a month in Summerside and surrounding areas so thought it only fitting to call their band On the Road Again. They play a selection of country classics, Irish numbers, and old time fiddling with harmonica selections. Members of the group are Joe Lawless-acoustic rhythm guitar, Keith Broderick-bass guitar, Ernie Gallant-lead guitar, John Campbell-violin, and Claude Gaudet-violin and harmonica.

Small city. Big variety.

A Place to Live

Our city is well known for family-friendly neighbourhoods, hospitable people and comfortable yet energetic lifetyles.

A Place to Work

We are a small city with big ambition, big ideas and big opportunity. With our low-cost operating environment, highly-skilled workforce and aggressive incentive packages for business, Summerside is quickly becoming the "city to watch" for growth and investment in Atlantic Canada.

A Place to Visit

We are proud to maintain a large portion of our Summerside shipbuilding heritage in many century homes, museums, monuments and murals all over our city. Our harbourfront is artistic, modern and exciting with a spray of coastal flavour.
