Ditch Infilling Rebates

In 2010, City Council approved a rebate to property owners who paid their 10% share of the ditch infilling costs for petitioned streets between 1997 and 2007. These rebates are being issued over a four year period with older streets being rebated first. To be eligible, you must have owned your property at the time it was infilled and you must still own your property as of December 31 before the year a rebate payment is to be made (i.e. ditch infilled in 2005 - to be eligible for rebate must still own property on December 31, 2013).

It should be noted that rebates are not issued in respect of properties where owners filled in their own ditches. Also, there is no interest payable to property owners with respect to the above rebates.
