    Peggy Miles is the Special Events Coordinator and is responsible for: marketing, promotion and staging of City events; provides event hosting, bidding and tourism consultative services to community organizations; provides leadership to the Department Facility Coordinator regarding marketing and sales; coordinates all City awards and programs such as Citizen of the Year, Youth of the Year, Good Neighbour Award, Volunteer of the Year, etc.; coordinates City and Department promotional material and advertisement; coordinates City souvenir sales and administers City Pin Policy; coordinates City volunteer plan and provides guidelines for this service, and arranges for the distribution of the city monthly brochure.

    Note: 400 work weeks of project staff have supported this sector since 1995 through the support of HRDC. Sunset clause in this agreement will apply in 2001; staff support will be an issue this year.
