Police offer tips to keep party guests safe, hosts out of court. Summerside Deputy Police Chief Sinclair Walker said party hosts and partygoers have an equal responsibility to make sure impaired drivers don't take to the roads. FireFighters respond to Summerside School fire

An early morning fire that began in the janitor’s room forced the closure of classes at Athena Consolidated School in Summerside. Jim Peters, the chief of the Summerside fire department, said the call came in about 3:15 a.m. “The hallways were full of smoke and we found the fire in the janitor’s room.
