History

The Summerside and St. Eleanors' stations have joined together to form the Summerside FireFighters Association. The association is involved in fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Prince County Hospital and the Salvation Army.

The fundraising efforts of the association have bought equipment such as ice rescue craft, man down alarms and fitness equipment (so the men can be in tip top shape). The association also volunteers its time for worthwhile community events
